Perfect Viewer Donation

Review by eFreeware

If you already read digital comics with Perfect Viewer, this small paid add-on is the simplest way to support the developer behind it. The app's whole purpose is narrow: it enables a donors-only function inside Perfect Viewer, and the developer bills it as a way for donated users to gain access to that feature. For anyone who spends hours in the main reader, the pitch is easy to understand.

What you are buying here is not a separate reader. It is a companion purchase that works alongside the free app, and the price is set at $3.00 as a one-time payment. There are no ads and no in-app purchases, so the transaction is as plain as it gets.

The main app has been around since 2011, so it is a long-running piece of the same project. The most recent update, from August 26, 2024, was an Android API level change.

The donors-only function it turns on

This package enables a donors-only function in Perfect Viewer. Its value rests on whether you want that gated capability and want to back the project at the same time.

I would treat this as an access key rather than a feature list. The donors-only function is tied to the reader you already use. If you have been using Perfect Viewer without donating, this package is aimed at you.

The practical upshot is that the add-on does nothing on its own. The benefit shows up inside the main app rather than in this one.

What the supporting details tell you

It carries an Everyone content rating, sits in the Comics category, and is not a game. It has no ads and no in-app purchases.

The install and rating figures are modest but steady: over 10,000 installs, a 5.0 average from 1,421 ratings, and 124 written reviews. A perfect average across that many ratings is unusual, and it fits a pattern where the people who buy this are already committed users of the main app rather than casual passers-by.

The August 2024 API update is the kind of maintenance that matters for a long-lived add-on. It does not add features, but it is the kind of maintenance you want from something tied to a reader you rely on.

What it asks of you

The setup is straightforward: this donation is meant to serve its purpose alongside Perfect Viewer. It is not a standalone comic reader, and the donors-only function it enables lives inside the main app. If you do not use Perfect Viewer, the $3.00 is aimed at a different audience.

The cost is a one-time $3.00, with no ads and no in-app purchases layered on top. There is no additional purchase to unlock anything further.

Expect exactly what the app promises and nothing more. The value is partly functional, in the gated feature, and partly supportive, in backing the developer.

A straightforward pick for committed Perfect Viewer users

This is for people who already use Perfect Viewer and want the donors-only function plus a way to support the project.

The long release history and the 2024 API update are worth noting. The 5.0 average across 1,421 ratings points to satisfied buyers, though that figure reflects a self-selecting group of donors.

My recommendation is to install it only if Perfect Viewer is already your comic reader. For that audience, it is a clean, low-cost way to unlock the donor feature and back the work behind the app.
