Palm Secret - Aging&Cartoon

Review by eFreeware

Palm Secret is a free entertainment app from the developer Palm Horoscope, and it bundles two very different kinds of fun under one roof: fortune-telling features like palm reading, horoscopes, tarot cards and psycho tests, plus a photo tool that turns your pictures into cartoon-style gender-swapped versions of yourself. It's a broad mix, and that breadth is the main reason to consider it — you get several light diversions in a single install rather than juggling separate apps.

The app has been on Google Play since September 2019 and has passed 10 million installs, with a 3.8 average across more than 82,000 ratings. Those numbers suggest a lot of people have tried it, and the rating suggests most of them found something worth keeping. It's aimed at anyone who enjoys casual mysticism and quick photo transformations without spending money upfront.

Two halves of the same app

The first half is the fortune-telling suite. Palm reading is the headline act: you point your camera at your palm, and the app scans and reads it to produce predictions about fortune, love, wealth, marriage and other life areas. The developer describes the scanning and reading technology as advanced and the method as very reliable, though as with any palm-reading app, the results are entertainment rather than evidence.

The second half is the photo editor. You select a picture from your gallery, then apply makeup effects and gender-swap styles to see a male or female version of yourself. There's manual editing as well, so you can fine-tune the result rather than accepting the first automatic pass. Cartoon-style transformations are part of the appeal, which gives the feature a playful, shareable quality.

Both halves live in the same interface, so the app effectively serves two moods: one for when you want a reading or a quiz, and one for when you want to play with a photo. That combination is unusual, and it means the app can appeal to someone who isn't interested in every feature.

Palm reading, horoscopes and tarot

Within the fortune-telling side, palm reading is the most involved feature. The app promises predictions across several life areas, and the developer pitches the reading method as reliable. Whether you take that at face value or treat it as a bit of fun, the feature is built around scanning your hand and generating a report.

Horoscopes add a second layer. You can view a detailed report covering love, your lucky number, your lucky color and more, and the app also lets you check how your horoscope matches with someone else's. That compatibility angle gives the horoscope section a social use, which is a sensible way to extend a feature that would otherwise be a quick daily glance.

Tarot rounds out the set with a daily card reading, presented as a source of insight and advice for the day ahead. The developer frames a morning tarot draw as a way to prepare for the day's possibilities and avoid potential pitfalls. It's a small, repeatable ritual rather than a deep tarot study tool, and that's fine for the audience this app is courting.

Psycho tests and the gender-swap editor

The psycho tests section is the lightest part of the app. It's a collection of quizzes with a humorous tone, including questions like whether you're a romanticist or likely to succeed. These are quick, low-stakes distractions that fit neatly alongside the fortune-telling features, and they're the kind of thing you might open when you have a few minutes and no particular goal.

The gender-swap photo tool is the other major draw. You pick an image from your gallery, choose from a range of makeup effects and styles, and let the app produce a swapped version of the subject. The manual editing controls matter here, because automatic transformations rarely land perfectly on the first try, and being able to adjust the result is what makes the feature usable for sharing.

This is also the feature most likely to bring in people who have no interest in palmistry at all. It's a creative toy first and a mystical tool second, and the app treats both with the same casual tone.

What you need to know before installing

Palm Secret is free to download, but it contains ads and offers in-app purchases. If you're considering spending, treat that as an unknown until you've explored the app yourself. The ads are the more immediate consideration: a free app with this many features will show them, and how much they interrupt your experience is something you'll discover on your own.

The palm-reading feature depends on scanning your hand, so you'll need to hold your palm steady for the app to read it. The gender-swap tool lets you select an image. These are worth knowing before you install.

The app was last updated in October 2024, which is a reasonably recent refresh for a title that launched in 2019. It carries an Everyone content rating, so it's suitable for a general audience. The developer provides a contact email for support.

Who will get the most from it

Palm Secret suits people who like their entertainment varied and casual. If you enjoy checking a horoscope, drawing a daily tarot card or taking a silly personality quiz, the app gathers those habits in one place. The palm-reading feature adds a tactile, camera-based twist that a plain horoscope app doesn't offer.

It also suits anyone who wants a playful photo tool without paying for a dedicated editor. The gender-swap and cartoon effects are built for sharing and experimentation, and the manual controls give you enough room to shape the result. Someone who wants a serious photo-editing suite would find this too narrow, but for casual fun it's well matched.

The combination is the point. You don't have to care about all four fortune-telling features or the photo editor to get value — you just need to enjoy one or two of them and be comfortable with ads and optional purchases in a free app.

A varied free pick for casual curiosity

Palm Secret is a broad, free entertainment app that mixes palm reading, horoscopes, tarot and psycho tests with a gender-swap photo editor. It's been downloaded more than 10 million times and holds a 3.8 rating, which points to a large audience that finds it enjoyable despite the ads and in-app purchases.

I'd suggest it to anyone who wants a single app for light fortune-telling and playful photo transformations, and who doesn't mind a free model supported by ads. If you're looking for depth in any one of those areas, this isn't the tool — but as a casual, varied package, it delivers exactly what it promises.
