You can order a Creation™, Shake or Cake for pickup or delivery, and if you sign in to a My Cold Stone Rewards account you can save favorite orders, collect points and redeem rewards. It is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases, which keeps the experience focused on the ice cream itself.

The main reason to consider it is convenience. If you already visit Cold Stone regularly, the app is a way to have your order ready when you arrive or sent to your door, and to keep track of the rewards you are earning along the way. The install numbers suggest plenty of people have made that choice, though the 3.9 average from 4,674 ratings also suggests the experience is not universally loved.
