How to install the NFL app

The NFL app is available through the App Store and Google Play. You can install it on your Android or iOS device by searching for NFL Mobile in the App Store or Google Play. Simply search for the app on your device’s respective app store and tap ‘install’ or the equivalent button. The app will take a few moments to download, and once finished is ready to use.

How to use the NFL app

If you are an NFL.com account holder, log in to the app with your username and password details from your desktop or laptop computer for instant access on mobile devices.

Apple TV and Chromecast streaming devices include the NFL app as an official channel, so you can watch your team’s games right on your television without needing a cable login. If you don’t have an Apple TV or Google device that incorporates either of these apps, download it from their respective app stores to turn any smartphone or tablet into a streaming device.

Although nothing to do with the app, you can also watch NFL games on your laptop or desktop computer. Go to the official website for any team you want and click “Watch Now” under their schedule, which will take you directly to live streaming video of that game as it happens. You’ll need a cable provider login from one of the major providers, such as Comcast, Time Warner or Cox to watch live NFL games on your computer.

You’ll also find a ton of archived footage and replays if you can’t catch the game while it’s airing online in case you want to rewatch something that happened earlier this season for example. Keep checking back throughout the week to see if any of your games have been added.

To get started, select a team from the “Choose Your Team” menu. You’ll then be able to follow your chosen teams and their scores with custom notifications for breaking news or highlights. If you’re on Wi-Fi, we recommend selecting all of your favorite teams at once so that it’s easier to switch between teams.

You can also select the “Live” or “On-Demand Video” menu to watch games live, on demand and even look back at previous seasons of NFL action! To access these features you’ll need a paid subscription that includes RedZone ‚ if you don’t have one already make sure to upgrade.

You can also select “NFL Network” to access live and on-demand content from NFL Network directly in the app, including shows like Good Morning Football and A Game of Jones as well as press conferences, classic games or archived Super Bowl footage. If you don’t have a cable subscription with your cable provider, you will need to sign in with a participating TV Provider.

When you’re ready to watch your favorite team, make sure you have a paid subscription. You can then select “Live” or the teams' schedule if it’s currently in season and see their upcoming games. If there is no game being played at that time, on-demand video will be available for viewing.

Review

The NFL app delivers exactly what it promises. It’s a one-stop shop for everything NFL. The live video is fast and easy to access, whether you’re at the stadium or on your couch watching from home. And it gives you all of your favorite teams' news right in front of you so that there are no surprises when they next play. If you’re a fan of the National Football League, you’ll love this app. However, it wouldn’t be a review without some criticism ‚ the NFL app is a bit heavy on ads and, if you’re not watching live or catch-up video at that time, there are no scores to be found. It’s also tough to find all of your favorite teams' schedules in one place as they disappear into menus during game times.

If those are minor issues, the NFL app is well-designed and easy to use. It delivers on its promises of live video access with a variety of different ways for fans to watch their favorite teams play or catch up from previous games ‚ all without leaving your couch. Compared to other sports streaming apps, it has one of the widest selections available for the popular American sport. We definitely recommend this app when your favorite football teams are playing, but if they’re not in season we’d check out some other options with more features that let fans watch whenever they want without a cable subscription or TV provider.
